    • Age 80 in burial record.
      No baptism record found, but a clear indication of the connection to brother William comes from family records, specifically the will of Richard's son John Hickson, b1824, who died in 1908. This will initially appointed John's brother Robert and son Richard Bertram Hickson as joint executors and trustees, but after Robert died in February 1908 he was replaced in a codecil dated April 24 that year by 'William Hickson of Lydiate Lane, Barnton' - his nephew, son of William Hickson and Mary Boden, who in the 1901 and 1911 censuses is recorded as living in Lydgett Lane, Barnton. John died on Boxing Day 1908.
