    • Master of Vine when it sank off Runcorn on Feb 20 1848 and his wife, brother Ralph, and two brothers-in-law drowned. He told the inquest that he saved himself by seizing a handspike and clinging on to net stakes for four hours until the waters subsided.Not found in censuses after 1841.
