    Father named in both marriage records as William Hurst, carter/horsekeeper, though spinster at first marriage. She had three sons with William Lowe, but no canal connection

    Jane married George Lea on 24 Dec 1894 in St John the Baptist, Burscough. George (son of George Lea and Ellen Cliffe) was born in 1868 in Burscough; died in 1899 in Lathom. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
