    In 1861 he is in Banks Row, Wigan as John Malley, 60, unmarried, cotton mill fireman born Orrell, with an unmarried sister Elizabeth Parr(?) 56 and a grand-daughter Catherine Malley, 13;
    In 1871 he is at 5 Bancks Houses, Pottery, Wigan, as a widower age 75, labourer born Orrell, with a widowed daughter-in-law Elizabeth Malley, 59, housekeeper and (daughter?) Catherine Malley, 23, unmarried.
