9169 With brother William in 1851 census as niece and nephew of Esther, but presumed grandchildren as baptisms show they are children of James (above) and Mary. James is shown as married rather than widowed. No record found after this census. Atherton, Alice Houghton (I27047)

9170 With cousin Samuel Hunt(1868) and family in 1901 census. Hunt, George Carter (I61415)

9172 With East Lancashire regiment in India in 1911 census. Bright, Charles Edmund (I45117)

9176 With father and brother John in 1881 census as married (wife not found), but listed as single in subsequent censuses. Wilkinson, Ralph (I43046)

9177 With father in 1851 census as Elizabeth Hough, soldier's wife. She was probably unaware that John, absent for nine years, was still alive when she married John Minshall as Betty Hough that year. Age given as 68 in death record. Taylor, Elizabeth (I25196)

9178 With father in 1871 census as "soldier's wife", married but husband absent. Neither William nor Priscilla found after 1871. Hickson, Priscilla (I20642)

9183 With Henry Rigby in 1871 Census as wife, with daughter Elizabeth, though not married until seven years later - listed as Mary Powell, widow, in 1878 marriage record, father William Powell. Powell, Mary Ann (I30513)

9184 With her parents in 1861 census, oddly as Harrop (marital statuis unspecified), alongside her husband and two Hammond children. Harrop, Maria (I63340)

9185 With Hinchliffe grandparents in 1871 census as William Hough Hinchliffe - mother probably died in childbirth. With step-grandmother Elizabeth Ward in 1881. Hinchliffe, William Hague (I41533)

9186 With his parents in the 1911 census, wife absent, but wrongly bracketed with his unmarried sister Mary and 'in law' faintly inserted under her designation 'daughter'.
Oddly, a Luke Huntrer born Burscough, married 8 years (wife absent) is also in this census, age given as 28, a corporation carter lodging at 109 Witton Parade, Blackburn.
Hunter, Luke (I04305)

9191 With mother-in-law Catherine Asbury in 1871 census as widower, while presumed partner Alice Ellis is in Liverpool, age 21, with daughters Charlotte, 4 (she is with John in 1881 as daughter) and Alice, 7 months. Ellis, John (I18873)

9192 With parents and siblings in 1841 census, but fathe named as George (a carpenter) in baptism record - probably an error in father's name as other details match his near siblings exactly, and no other baptisms foumd to a George/Catherine couple.
Apparently married a Mary Cook of Bolton, and is in several censuses with Cook in-laws and children whose mother's maiden name is given as Cook in GRO records, but no correlating marriage record found.
A matching Mary Cook was baptised in Bolton in 1824, parents Betty and Lawrence, a spinner. And there is a marriage in Wigan in 1848 of a George Peet, father John, wheelwright, to a Mary Leigh, spinster, father Lawrence Leigh, cotton spinner - a very odd coincidence.
Peet, George (I57040)

9193 With parents in 1861 census but no birth or baptism record found. Shaw, Emma (I01940)
