9601 This would seem to be Robert b 1835 Burscough to John Watkinson and Sarah nee Mawdsley(qv) - except that the record for what would be his second marriage has him as a bachelor, not widower. Both marriage records identify his father as John Watkinson, boatman. Watkinson, Robert (I09450)

9602 This would seem to be the same Robert Watkinson, b 1835 Burscough, who also married Alice Rimmer in 1867 (qv) - except that the 1867 marriage record has him as a bachelor, not widower. Both marriage records identify his father as John Watkinson, boatman.

9607 Thomas and father Henry have not been traced.
His wife Annie married William Wignall as a widow, but no death record found for Thomas.
He is assumed not to be the Thomas b1852 Liverpool to Henry Pedder (boatman) and Frances Wignall (family not yet on this site) as he married widow Harriet Ewing in 1890 as a bachelor.
Hard-copy details of this other family have been collated and kept in our family tree file headed by Joseph Pedder b1765 in case a link can be found. (Is it possible that the two Thomases are the same and he did not die but separated from Annie, who declared herself a widow when she remarried, and Thomas ignored his failed marriage and said he was a bachelor when he married Harriet?)
Pedder, Thomas (I10298)
