    • This would seem to be the same Robert Watkinson, b 1835 Burscough, who also married Alice Rimmer in 1867 (qv) - except that the 1867 marriage record has him as a bachelor, not widower. Both marriage records identify his father as John Watkinson, boatman.
      In 1841 census with uncle William Watkinson and Winifred, nee Cropper.
