  Helen in baptism record, Kay in 1843 marriage record. Birthplace confirmed as Weston, Derbyshire, in 1861 census, and though given as Middlewich in 1871 she is living in Swarkestone, two miles away on the Trent and Mersey Canal. Later censuses give birthplace as Weston, Staffordshire, 20 miles west on the same canal.
