• Notes

  Abode in 1866 marriage to William Digoray is Toll End, Tipton. No death found for him, or second marriage for Martha, who is clearly Benjamin's partner after 1871 as children's birth records confirm mother's maiden name as Ber(r)esford. Quite likely to be the 'Martha Fisher' at Harris Wharf, Toll End, next to Benjamin in the 1871 census. Age oddly given as 50 in 1881 census.
