• Notes

  Two baptism records give mother's name Margaret, two Mary. Eliza and her son Philip appear as Hollingsworth in the 1901 census for Douglas, Isle of Man, where apparently she was jailed, and her children (including Philip) sent to Canada as 'Home Children'. A death is recorded in St Helens, 12.12.1910, of an Eliza Hollingsworth, 'widow of Thomas Hollingsworth, captain of sailing ship of 21 Peel Street, St Helens', informant Jenny Hollingsworth, daughter, of 34 Hall Street, St Helens.
