  • Notes 
    • In 'The Sailing Ships and Mariners of Knottingley' Ron Gosney writes that in the 1914-18 War "Tom Rockett volunteered for service with the Admiralty and was taken as a North Sea pilot. After the war he took charge of a Goole motor vessel 'Scooter' running between Southanpton and Caen. He was taken ill aboard this vessel and died in July 1920 at Caen where he was buried."
