  No baptism record found. In 1841 census as William Dutton with mother and her second husband. Not found in 1851/61 censuses. Age given as 27 in marriage record. In 1887 William and son George were recorded aboard 'James' in Widnes with Robert Robinson (b1833 Widnes) 'Trading all the half-year between the Menai Strait and the Mersey having made 14 trips successfully, from July 1 ending at Widnes on December 31.
